The unintended consequence is the fact that he didn't expect to make what he did. He didn't mean for it to become an ugly creature.

The rain signifies the depression. It sets the mood of depressed and darkness.
the action in this chapter is bringing the monster to life, and the creator not liking what he has created, and now he is disapointed becuase the monster isnt what he imagined. he is not happy becuase he pictured the monster to be beautiful and it looks like an ugly yellow dead corpse. i think the rain signifys that he is deppressed and something scary is about to happen.
ReplyDeleteFrankenstein made the "monster" because he was trying to fill the void of lost loved ones in his life. He did not expect the thing to be ugly, and it only made him angry and depressed that he wasted so much time creating an ugly and pointless monster that didnt fill the hole of his loved ones. The rain signifies that mother nature/God is angry that he defied natural happenings.
ReplyDeleteVictor had been working on this creation for a long time and after all this work and effort he had pictured the most beautiful and prefect living human. When it was finished he was horrified by the sheer hideousness of the monster he had created. The monsters skin and eyes were ugly and it smelled nothing how he had imagined.

ReplyDeletevictor was not happy with his creation he was disappointed that the parts he hand picked for his creation did not work together,They did not work together at all he was terrified by his monster the monster seemed happy when he first saw victor but victor was not he was in hell his dream of creating the perfect being was shattered. The rain in my opinion seems too represent his disappointment and despair i also think the monster was scared as well i believe its why it fled victors home.

ReplyDeleteVictor sounds very unpleased with his creation. He expected a person that can be perfect, but instead it becomes a monster of features that no one would imagine and the smell of horrible odor. Then yet victor has went ill minded, the situation have good chance of going wrong completely.
ReplyDeleteVictor wanted to give life back to the man on the table. He was disappointed because what he created was a monster who was ugly and not appealing. The rain and the lightning was the mark of God who was mad that Victor deceived the natural course of human life and gave life back.

ReplyDeleteVictor is unhappy with his creation of a "monster" because it is not what he was intending it to do. He planned on it looking beautiful and fill the hole in his life of lost loved ones. This "monster" was total opposite of what he was planning on. Victor couldn't believe that he spent so much time working on this beast! The rain signifies that he is depressed and that he did wrong by making the "monster".
ReplyDeleteThe main action is Victor bringing a monster back to life and how ashamed he is of it. His plan of it turning out to be a masterpiece went wrong. The monster he created is the furthest from beautiful and Victor wants nothing to do with it. He is mad because he has spent so much time to not get the results he wanted. The rain is just adding to the more depressing state that has been brought on buy his creation of the monster.

The rain helps set the scene. His dream had just been shattered right before him and the rain makes it more depressing. It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense if it was a beautiful day.
the unintended concenquence is not everything goes to plan and cant be fixed when the deed has been done. he was expecting a perfect beautiful creature and got an ugly monster
ReplyDeleteThe unintended consequence in this story is that for two years Victor worked to create this beautiful creature to take the place of the void he had in his life. He got beautiful parts from the cemetery and put them together thinking that the end result would be beautiful too. But it wasn't at all what he wanted and he was disgusted. This is also the reason he is unhappy, he got his hopes up thinking that he was going to create something beautiful. The rain signifies his depression about his creation. The rain means failure and regret.
ReplyDeleteThe unintended consequences of Victor's creature were that he had planned on being filled with joy as he had been the first one to ever do such a thing as bring something dead to life. It turns out that his hypothesis of creating a wonderful masterpeice, had turned into a nightmare, a monster that he wanted nothing to do with. The rain puts his mood in perspective of how gloomy and down in the dumps he was about his failed creation.
